My name is Doug Brown and I am an investigative reporter for Signal Akron, a nonprofit newsroom in Akron, Ohio. My work focuses on government and law enforcement accountability, made possible through expertise with public records laws, source protection, trust in the community, due diligence, and unwavering dedication to the First Amendment. In previous eras of my life, I worked for the ACLU of Oregon, Portland Mercury, Cleveland Scene magazine, and deadspin.com, among other places.
